A massive thank-you to everyone who has donated pennies to our Cancer Research UK Relay For Life mile of pennies appeal. We have now reached our £10,000 total which is equal to 12.63 miles - Peterhead to Toll O' Birness. We intend to keep collecting your pennies for Relay and see how far we get.

Saturday 25th February

Relay For Life team "Out Of This World" hosting a pancake day themed coffee morning at Macbi, Mintlaw from 10.00am - 12 noon. All proceeds to Cancer Research UK.

The Ban Car Hotel is hosting its annual Charity Dance in aid of Friends of Anchor. Tickets cost £15 and doors open at 8pm. Enjoy dancing to 5th Avenune. Call 01346 532578 for tickets. Complimentary buses will run to Peterhead and Fraserburgh after the event.

The Peterhead Sea Cadets are having a Soup & Sweet at their unit in Roanheads from 11.30am to 2pm. Adults £4. Kids £2.50.

The Port Errol Parent Council are holding a Beer Tasting Event on Saturday 25th February in the Cruden Bay Public Hall at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £25 and are available from the village Post Office. Over 18s only. Money received will help raise vital funds for the school.

A Soup and Sweet Fundraiser for Peterhead's Christian Aid effort is being held in the Peterhead New Parish Church Hall from noon till 2pm. Tickets cost £4, or simply pay at the door. Tea or coffee included.

Monday 26th February

The Fraserburgh Angling Club AGM will be held at 2.30pm in the Dalrymple Hall. All members are welcome to attend. Permits will be on sale. Members unable to attend should apply for renewal by post only, sending an SAE and cheque to James Watson, 11 Maconochie Road, Fraserburgh, AB43 8TH. Applications not reeived by the 28th of March will automatically lapse. Fee is the same as last year. Members can view the agenda and proposed 2017 outgoings on the club website.

Wednesday 8th March

The Fraserburgh Sea Cadets Family Prize Bingo in the Masons Hall on Commerce Street in Fraserburgh at 6.30 for a 7pm start. Entry is £6 which includes books, flyers and refreshments Funds raised will contribute towards new premises.

Friday 10th March

A Quiz Night will take place at the St. Fergus Primary School. Doors open at 6.30 for 7pm start. Teams of 4 which must include at least one adult and one child cost £10 each. To book a table call the School.

Saturday 11th March

The Peterhead SNP Spring Fair and Soup & Sweet will be held at Longhaven Public Hall from 10am – 1.30pm  To book a stall phone 01779 473557.

A Soup ‘n’ Sweet will be held at Abbey Court in Mintlaw on Saturday 11th March from 11am to 2pm. Entry for Adults is £5 and £2.50 for children.

A Buttery Morning will be held in the Macaulay Hall in Mid Street from 10am to 12pm in aid of Maggies Centre, Aberdeen. Entry for adults if £2 and £1 for children.

Saturday 18th March

The Womans Guild are holding a buttery morning in the Fraserburgh United Reformed Chruch from 10am to 12pm. Entry for adults is £2 for £1 children.

Friday 24th March

Peterhead SNP presents the Scottish Accordion Music Group in concert in Longhaven Public Hall. Tickets are £6.50 which includes teas & homebakes and can be booked by calling 01779 813028 (after 1.00pm).

Saturday 25th March

A 70s/80s evening will take place in the Peterhead Football Club in aid of raising awareness and research of SRUK (Marlenes Memories). Tickets cost £10 and are available from Michael on 07974295466 or Sheila 07527804030

Friday 31st March

Fraserburgh Cats Protection are hosting a fun quiz in the Elizabethan Bar and Lounge, Fraserburgh for a 7pm start. A team of 4 costs £10 and includes refreshments, along with a raffle. Raising funds for all the cats/kittens.
