We have now reached our £10,000 total which is equal to 12.63 miles - Peterhead to Toll O' Birness. Fraserburgh Rugby Club will hold a family fun day at James Ramsay Park from 11am -4pm.  There will also be a game between Fraserburgh and Trust Rugby International, which will kick off at 2pm.

A charity car wash in aid of the Fraserburgh Sea Cadets new unit building fund will be held on the grounds of Fraserburgh Freezing & Cold Storage from 10am to 3pm. £5 per car.

Crimond Stock Car Promotions are holding the annual Munster trophy meeting at Crimond raceway off the main A90 Peterhead to Fraserburgh road. Formula’s competing will be:- Brisca F2, Brisca Micro F2, Saloonstox, Hot Saloons, Road Going Saloons, 1300 Saloonstox, Micro Bangers & Micro Banger Demolition Derby & Ladies Races. Start time 4.30 pm Saturday, 12.30 pm Sunday. Admission:- £10 Adult, £8 Concessions on Saturday, £12 Adult, £10 Concessions Sunday, Children admitted free both days when accompanied by paying adult. Free track side parking, Free seated Grandstands, Refreshments available trackside.

The Echt Show takes place. See top quality cattle, sheep, goats and horses, watch the North East of Scotland Sheep Shearing competition, the Vintage Tractor Display, Highland Dancing and the Dog Show, the crafters tent, traditional music and stands galore. There’s plenty to keep the kids amused from the funfair to the magician and lots of other activities. Don’t miss the Main Event when the Strathorn Farm Clydesdales perform their Drill Ride to music. A charity coffee morning will be held at the Peterhead New Parish Church Hall from 10am to 12.30pm in aid of Kidney Research. Entry is £2.50 which includes tea and a buttery.

Saturday 12th August

Destiny Church, 7 Ware Road, Peterhead are having a Summer Fun Day with lots going on including fun inflatables, face painting, BBQ and much more.

Applications forms and final show tickets are now available for "Broch's Got Talent" from Dimensions, Rodgers Electrical and North East Scotland College or via Facebook. Auditions will be held in the Dalrymple Hall on Saturday 12th August from 10.00am - 3.00pm with the final on Saturday 7th October at 6.00pm. This is a fundraising event to help bring an ice rink to Fraserburgh for a weekend in December.

Saturday 26th August

A Tartan Ball, to help raise funds to bring an ice rink to Fraserburgh for a weekend in December, will be held at The Ban-Car Hotel, Lonmay on Saturday 26th August at 6.00pm for a 6.30 start. Ongoing Announcements

Weekly buttery mornings hosted by Willowbank will be held at the Buchanhaven Heritage Centre on Tuesdays from 10am to 12pm. Butteries are just a pound and tea or coffee is only 50p. Funds raised go towards the Heritage Centre.

St. John’s Church in Longside are holding their annual Book Sale from Saturday 1st July for two weeks. Opening times on Saturdays are from 10am to 4pm and on weekdays it’s open from 2 to 8pm. Closed on Sundays.

Fraserburgh United Reformed Church are holding Buttery Mornings every Saturday in the Macaulay Hall, Mid Street, during July and August from 10am till noon.

Aberdeenshire Council is offering Summer Holiday Camps across the area running in various towns on various weeks from 3rd of July through to the 18th of August. The camps are for children aged between 5 to 14 years old and further details on locations, dates and bookings can be found here.

Macmillan Cancer Support and Aberdeenshire Council have teamed up to help people affected by cancer keep active and move more. They are looking for volunteers in Peterhead and Fraserburgh to help with this exciting initiative. They require Walk Leaders, Circuit Support Assistants, Garden Volunteers and Gentle Movement Volunteers. Why Suffer in Silence is a person centered non-judgmental emotional listening support Service for Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Mental Health. Could you spare 1 hour a week to make a life changing difference to a young persons future? Befriend a Child are looking to recruit volunteer mentors in Banff, Fraserburgh & Peterhead to be matched with a young person at a local Secondary School. Mentors support a young person to re-engage with education if, for whatever reason, they are not attending school or are in a cycle of exclusions. In addition mentors encourage their young person to think about their future pathway to a positive destination: higher/further education or employment. A new support group “It’s All About Me” for sufferers of M.E & F.M Chronic Fatigue Syndrome meets at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre (Lounge Area).
