Friday 19th September
Ythanvale Care Home annual quiz night at the Ellon Golf Club at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced at £5.00, can be purchased from the Home or pay at the door. Money raised will go towards special comforts and entertainment for the Home.
The Banff Users Management Committee have organised a concert at Wilkies in Portsoy from 7pm with music by the Woodlanders from Turriff. Admission is £4. Tickets available by calling Patricia on 07500255177 or pay at the door on the night.
Saturday 20th September
A fund raising golf event in memory of Joan Hastie will take place at the Inverallochy Golf Course with all proceeds going to the Motor Neurone Disease Charity in Scotland. There's also many great raffle prizes to be won as well as an auction on the day.
Peterhead’s Buchanhaven Heritage Society will hold a large exhibition between 10-4 at the Buchanhaven Heritage Centre, on Ugie Road. A wide selection of old images from school groups to street scenes, various town industries to the war, with a wide range of artefacts also on display. Free entry, with tea & coffee and fine peece's on sale. This month the centre is supporting the "Go Purple for Clan' so any takings will go fully to that great cause.
Boddam Junior Yachting Club will host a Buttery Morning in Boddam Trinity Church from 10.00am - 12 noon. Tickets can be bought from any Committee Member or just pay at the door and there will also be 2015 calendars on sale. For further information, call George Cordiner on 01779 471452.
The 'Pussycats' team are holding a coffee morning for their first fundraising event for the Peterhead Relay for Life 2015 - taking place at the Mintlaw Village Hall from 10am to 3pm. A craft fayre will also be taking place.
A coffee morning in aid of Macmillian cancer support is being hosted by the 1st Sanhdhaven Brownies in the Sandhaven church hall from 2-4pm.£2 adults £1 children.
A supporters bus will leave the harbous office at 8.30am to go to the Linlithgow versus Fraserburgh Scottish Cup Replay.

A dog show will take place from 11am and starting at 12noon at the Fountain Equestrian Centre in Dyce to riase money for Willows Animal Sanctuary. Entrance fee is £1 per god and £2 for registration. For further details please call Amy on 07530 736445.

Peterhead Choral Society are looking for new members and are holding an open evening from 7.30pm, meeting at the Peterhead Leisure Centre front door at 7.20pm. If you enjoy singing, get along and see whats on offer. It's open to men and women aged 16+

There will be a coffee morning and craft fair in Meethill School from 10am - 1pm. This is being organised by Bible Explorers@Meethill and the Good News Club, and all proceeds are for the school.
Peterhead Old Parish Chruch are holding an afternoon cream tea from 2-4-pm with music provided by Get Rhytm Music School. Tea, coffee and shortbread also served for £1.
Fraserburgh Academy's Rock Challenge Comittee are holding a buttery morning from 10am-12noon in the Old Parish Church Centre, Barrasgate road
Sunday 28th September
An autmn autojumble takes place at the Grampian Transport Museum, Alford from 9am-5pm. You can pre book a stall for £13 which includes 2 free admissions to the museum. Forms can be downloaded at www.gtm.org.uk or pay £15 on the day.

The Allandale House Care Home in Peterhead is taking part in a MacMillan Coffee Morning from 9.30 to 11.30am. All welcome.

The Allandale House Care Home in Peterhead is holding a fund raising evening in the Buchanhaven Hearts Football Club Social Club with dancing and raffles. Tickets cost £5 and are available by calling 01779 473153 or pick up from Allandale House.
A Fish and Chip night takes place in the Grangepark care home from 6pm. Tickets cost £7.50. All funds raised for the comfort fund.
A Charity Quiz Night in aid of CLIC Sargent for Children with Cancer will take place in the Bancar Hotel, Lonmay from 7pm. Entry £12 per team of 4 - price includes refreshments.

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland are launching a new Outreach Communication Support Service in the North East to support people who have had a stroke, giving them company and confidence. The services will be available in Deeside, Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Turriff, Inverurie, Stonehaven, Banff, Huntly and Aberdeen City. A series of talks on Contemplative Prayer, led by the Right Reverend Doctor Robert Gillies, Bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney will be held in Saint Drostan's Episcopal Church, Old Deer on Tuesdays the 16th, 23rd and 30th of September from 7pm.

Maggie's Hoosie in Inverallochy opens for the summer season on 16th June right through to 11th September with opening times Monday to Thursday from 2.00pm-4.00pm. Maggie's Hoosie is of both national and local importance and is unique in retaining so much of its original character and is possibly the only one of its kind still existing the the North East. The Grampian Transport Museum in Alford has some exciting new exhibits to view this year. Check out the exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of the Great Train Robbery with two of the original vehicles used on the night of the robbery on show. There is also a stunning state of the art HGV simulator, using high definition graphics. Grampian Transport Museum - well worth a visit.
CLAN - Cancer Link Aberdeen North - offers support through its outreach facilties in Peterhead and Fraserburgh. They are in Fraserburgh at the HUB on a Monday from 10-4pm. Then in Peterhead on a Wedenesday and a Friday at the Hotspot on Kirk Street, Peterhead again from 10-4pm. This is a free service to everyone affected by cancer and provides emotional support, complementary therapies, children and family services and cancer information. The Breastfeeding support group takes place at Peterhead Maternity Unit every Thursday from 1.30pm-3.00pm. This is an informal group/drop in where advice and support are given with many lifelong friendships made. Come along and enjoy the social aspects of the group. The midwives and breastfeeding volunteers extend a warm welcome.
There will be a weekly nightcap at the Fisherman's Mission on Union Street, Peterhead on Sunday at 8pm, as well as a weekly Ladies Guild every Tuesday from 7.15pm.
Choices Fraserburgh is a crisis pregnancy centre where women and their families can go to obtain free, impartial advice following an unplanned pregnancy. Advice and support is also offered following the loss of a baby.
