Thursday 2nd September

St Fergus Old Tyme Dancing restarts after the summer break at the St Fergus Public Hall at 8.00pm. There will be live music with Charlie Esson and Dennis Morrison as well as tuition from Marlene Lowe. Admission is £3.50 which includes tea. All welcome.

A Meeting will be taking place on Thursday to disccuss the possible future of the Willowbank Centre near Peterhead, and the future of it's residents. The meeeting will be held at the Centre at 7.30pm. All welcome.

Friday 3rd September

Twilight Basketball will be held at Peterhead Comunity Centre from 7.30 - 9.30pm.  The free event is for all young people aged 10 and over.

An evening with Maureen Smith will take place in the Palace Hotel, Peterhead from 7.30pm. All proceeds will go to the Mintlaw under 5's group. Call 0796 105 7194 for futher information.

The South Kirk in the Broch hosts it's monthly 'Soup & Sweet' on the first Friday of the month from noon till 1.30pm. Simply great soup, great sweets and nae washin up either. Come along and hae a gran time.

Saturday 4th September

Help raise funds for a birthing pool at Peterhead Maternity by attending a charity ladies fun night at the Waterside Inn (over 18's only). Insh Community Association and  the Benacchie Leisure Centre have organized 'Insh Has Got Talent'. This is a variety show with an open in invitation to both young and old to show off their talent. Entry fee is £5, with entry forms available from shops in Insh.

A Fundraising Dance will be taking place at the Royal British Legion, Fraserburgh. Come along for a great night's entertainment, with music from Borderline. Money raised from this event will be given to Erskine and also to help wounded Scottish Soldier's Families. Raffle donations will be gratefully received.

A Family Prize Bingo is taking place at the Buchanhaven Hearts Club. Eyes down is at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start, money raised will go to the Companions Befriending Scheme.

The New Pitsligo annual Flower Show in the Public Hall, which will be opened by Cannon David Finch of St John's Church. Doors open at 1.15pm with presentations of trophies and prizes at 2.30pm and auction at 4 o'clock.

Peterhead RNLI Lifeboat Station will hold it's annual Open Day from 11am to 4 pm with many attractions, including HM Coastguards, Police Dive Team, Fairground attractions, The Fire Brigade, plus many others. Come along and support the RNLI.

The Satorishido Martial Arts Club in Fraserburgh is holding a fun day at James Ramsay Park from 11.30 am through to late afternoon. Come along and enjoy a family fun day with lots to see and do.

Peterhead Projects Limited have initiated a '2 Reuse' scheme operating from units 2, 3 and 4 at the Meethill Shopping Complex. Kinship for Kids is a support group covering the Fraserburgh and Central Buchan areas. It is a group for Granny's and Grandad's, sisters, brothers, friends and family looking after Kinship Kids.
