Thursday 20th June
The Red Brick Theatre Group presents "Fantasia", a collection of songs from the musicals performed by group members aged between 8 to 23 years old. The show is on at the Peterhead Community Theatre tonight, Friday and Saturday with doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Tickets are priced at £6 with proceeds going to Peterhead Rock Challenge.
Friday 21st June
Fiona Kennedy and 13 year old Ruairidh McDonald will appear in concert at the St.Peter's Church in Fraserburgh from 7.30pm. Call o1346 541231 for tickets details and further information.
A Charity Zumbathon is being held at the Longside Parish Hall, in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. Event bands are on sale for the event - see you local Zumba Instructor for further details.
Cancer Relay for Life team 'The Wilsons' are hosting a 12 and under Shorts & Shades Disco in the Buchanhaven Hearts club from 7 to 9pm. Tickets cost £4 and are available from the club, or pay at the door on the night. All kids will recieve a goody bag.
Saturday 22nd June
Come along to Willows Animal Sanctuary's open day from 11.30am to 4.30pm. Enjoy a simply wonderful day with live music, home bakes, lucky ducks, raffles, tombola's and plants plus lots more. Visit Willows Animal Sanctuary's furry faces old and new at Lambhill Farm, Strichen.
The Fraserburgh Heritage Centre are holding a special events day from 10am til 4pm. There will be a live transmission from the Marconi Shark, Isobel Gregory's hat collection and a display & demo of hats and collars by the Fraserburgh Academy Arts Department plus the return of the Aberdeenshire Archives back by poulaur request. Entry if £1 for adultas with children going free.
Longhaven School is holidng a fun run at the Longhaven Hall from 10am till 12 noon. Medals are available for all entrants. There will also be other family activities such as a bouncy castle, bric-a-brac and much more. Everyone is welcomed.
A new and nearly-new sale, in aid of Cancer Research, will be held at the Rescue Hall in Prince Street, Peterhead from 10am – 1pm. There will clothes of all ages and sizes, bric-a-brac & toys, and many bargains.
Peterhead Academy is holding a Summer Fete at the School Centre Games Hall from 11am to 4pm and will be officially oppened by Daniel Gallagher. Get along and enjoy the day with live entertainment, basketball, cream teas, gardening club, street football, schoool meals and lots, lots more.
The Fraserburgh Golf Club is holding a Midsummer Open. Tee times are still available (as of 17th) Entry for members is £12 and £17 for non-members.

The Fraserburgh and Peterhead branches of the stillbirth and neonatal death society hold their annual balloon relase at Aden Park, Mintlaw at 11am.

A fund raising quiz in aid of the MacMillan Nurses takes place in the Buchanhaven Hearts Football Club Social Club from 7.00pm. Entry £10 per team of four. There's also raffles, teas, bottle stall and home bakeson the night. all welcome.

Local woman Denise Elrick has volunteered to help raise awareness of the chairty 'Help for Heroes' on the 6th, 7th of July with collections on both days at Asda, Peterhead. St. John's Chruch at Longside is holding their annual book sale from Saturday the 29th of June till Saturday the 6th of July with a stock clearence day opn the 13th of July. opening times on saturdays are 10am till 4pm; weekdays are 2 till 8pm and closed on Sundays. CLAN - Cancer Link Aberdeen North - will be at The Hub, 56 High Street, Fraserburgh every Monday from 10.00am - 4.00pm. This is a free service to everyone affected by cancer and provides emotional support, complementary therapies, children and family services and cancer information. The Breastfeeding support group takes place at Peterhead Maternity Unit every Thursday from 1.30pm-3.00pm. This is an informal group/drop in where advice and support are given with many lifelong friendships made. Come along and enjoy the social aspects of the group. The midwives and breastfeeding volunteers extend a warm welcome.

The Fraserburgh Heritage Centre's 2013 opening hours have been announced - from Monday 1st April, it will be open every day from 12 noon - 4pm and will close on Thursday 31st October. Choices Fraserburgh is a crisis pregnancy centre where women and their families can go to obtain free, impartial advice following an unplanned pregnancy. Advice and support is also offered following the loss of a baby.
