Saturday 13th February

A Buttery Morning will take place in the Trinity Parish Church Hall in Peterhead from 10am till 12 noon. Cost £2.

The Royal British Legion, Peterhead Branch is set to continue and annual subscriptions are now due for payment. Call 07401841333 after 6.30pm to find out how and where payment can be made.

Wednesday 17th February

A quiz night is being held at the Masons in Broad Street Peterhead at 7pm in aid of Emma Fraser's trip to help impoverished children in Mexico. All together the trip costs £2000 of which £1300 has to be raised. Entry fee is £10 per team of 4. Donations of raffle prizes would be gratefully appreciated. Thursday 18th February

Join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Wind Trio and enjoy a live music performance with your little one. Big Ears, Little Ears is a performance in a tut-free child friendly atmosphere. Concerts will take place at 10.30am and 11.45am in the Apex Church, Peterhead on the 18th, and St Brandons Church Centre, Whitehills on the 19th and the United Reformed Church, Fraserburgh on the 20th February. The 1st Banff Boys Brigade Parents Association are having a coffee morning from 10am to 12noon in the BB Hall, Seafiled Street, Banff. Entry is £3.

A fun bingo night in aid of the Blue Light Festival will be held at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre at 7pm for a 7.30 start.

Thursday 18th February

Peterhead Football Club will be selling tickets for the Petrofac Training Cup Final at Balmoor Stadium and thereafter weekdays from 10am till 3pm. The Blue Toon take on Rangers at Hampden on the 19th April.

Saturday 27th February

Pitfour Fly Fishing Club will hold its AGM at the Macbi Community Hub in Mintlaw.  This will be from 10am – 12noon and refreshments will be provided.  New members are welcome to attend.  For more information, contact Di on 07801890144.

An Audience with International Classical Guitarist Ian Watt & Friends takes place in the Scottish Lighthouse Museum in Fraserburgh from 7pm. Tickets cost £15 which includes cheese and wine. Limited tickets are now available from Rodgers of Fraserburgh.

Aberdeenshire Council’s museum service has launched a visually striking exhibition at The Arbuthnot Museum in Peterhead, showing maps and objects by James Robertson (1753-1829), the Shetlander who mapped Jamaica and Aberdeenshire.  This exhibition has previously been seen only in Shetland.  Visit the museum before Saturday 20th February to see the most detailed maps of the Caribbean island nation and north-east of Scotland from the 19th century.
