Edie Paul of Crimond is one of 24 inspirational ladies chosen to take part in "Courage on the Catwalk" Fashion Show at The Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen on Sunday 30th March to raise funds for Friends of Anchor. All the ladies taking part have had cancer treatment at the Anchor Unit. Anyone interested in sponsoring Edie to "strut her stuff" should call her on 01346 532962. It would be very much appreciated.
People are invited to contribute their top dishes to a recipe book which aims to raise funds for a local girl’s life-changing operation. Workers at Macrae Foods in Fraserburgh are behind the idea as they look to help send Isla McNab, who has cerebral palsy, for surgery in America that could help her walk. The Street Pastors initiative in Peterhead has drawn together a team of volunteers to provide a listening ear and practical help to anyone in need in the town centre from 10pm on a Saturday night to 4am on Sunday morning.
Adults teams of 10 are being sought for It's A Knockout which takes place in Buckie on 21st June. Proceeds will go to the Teddy Bear development play group and The Lyric theatre group in Buckie. Friends of Ythanvale Care Home in Ellon are holding a bingo evening in the Royal British Legion lower victoria hall from 7pm. Entrance fee is £2 with teas and coffees, sandwiches and homebakes will be provided.

The Blue Toon Buddies Quiz Night, in aid of Cancer Research UK Relay For Life, at Peterhead Golf Club at 7.30pm. Basket suppers served between 6.00pm and 7.30pm.
The S.W.R.I. Buchan Group are holding a prize bingo night in the Ritchie Hall, Strichen from 7.30pm.

The Peterhead Festival of Gospel Male Voice Praise takes place at the Baptist Church, King Street from 6.30pm. The guest speaker is the Reverend Doctor Jeff Tippner.
The Longside Royal British Legion are holding a coffee morning in the Longside FC Social Club from 10am till 12noon. Admission £2. All proceeds to Erskine Hospital, and Poppy Scotland.
Friday 28th March
A Pub Quiz, in aid of The Brain Tumour charity, will be held in The Buchanhaven Hearts Social Club with doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. Entry is £10 per team of four. There will also be a bottle stall, raffle and refreshments.
A Zumbathon charity fundraising event will be held at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets cost £8 with all proceeds going to an Autism charity.
Saturday 29th March
A Charity Concert in aid of Cancer Research UK will take place in the Palace Hotel Peterhead from 7pm. Lady & The Tramps and Raw Stereo will provide the music. Tickets cost £10, which includes stovies and are available from the hotel or Get Rhythm Music School next to Waves Radio.

CLAN - Cancer Link Aberdeen North - offers support through its outreach facilties in Peterhead and Fraserburgh. They are in Fraserburgh at the HUB on a Monday from 10-4pm. Then in Peterhead on a Wedenesday and a Friday at the Hotspot on Kirk Street, Peterhead again from 10-4pm. This is a free service to everyone affected by cancer and provides emotional support, complementary therapies, children and family services and cancer information. The Breastfeeding support group takes place at Peterhead Maternity Unit every Thursday from 1.30pm-3.00pm. This is an informal group/drop in where advice and support are given with many lifelong friendships made. Come along and enjoy the social aspects of the group. The midwives and breastfeeding volunteers extend a warm welcome.
New members of all ages are being sought for Peterhead Sea Angling Club. The Club meets every second Sunday. For further information, please call 07811 884026.
There will be a weekly nightcap at the Fisherman's Mission on Union Street, Peterhead on Sunday at 8pm, as well as a weekly Ladies Guild every Tuesday from 7.15pm.
Choices Fraserburgh is a crisis pregnancy centre where women and their families can go to obtain free, impartial advice following an unplanned pregnancy. Advice and support is also offered following the loss of a baby.
