Saturday 22nd November
Boddam Public Hall will host a Christmas Fayre and Buttery Morning from 9.00am – 12 noon. All proceeds will go Hall funds.
The Pussycat Team are fundraising for the Relay for Life by holding a Soup & Sweet at St. Peters Church, Merchant Street, Peterhead serving from 12 to 2. Cost £4.00 per head.
Willows Animal Sanctuary is holding a Christmas Fayre and Nativity with animals from 11am to 3.30pm. There will be lots to see and do and Santa will be there from 1 to 1.45pm and the Nativity will be staged by pupils from the New Pitsligo School. For further details log into willowsanimals.com
Fraserburgh South Church are having a Christmas Fayre from 10am to 12pm in the South Church Hall on Seaforth Street. Tickets are £2 each and £1 for under 16s and include a fly cup and a buttery. Santa will be at his Christmas Grotto.
Fraserburgh United Reformed Church are holding a Christmas Fayre from 11am to 2pm with lots going on. There’s Soup and Sweet plus Santa will be waiting in his Grotto. All welcome.
The Peterhead Old Parish Church Annual Sale of Work takes place in the Palace Hotel from 10am. Coffee & Rolls as well as a Soup & Sweet will be available. There will also be various stalls to browse round. The 5th Peterhead Guide Company Choir will sing at 10am.
The Friends of Sandhaven Primary are hosting a Soup & Sweet from 11.30am to 1.30pm. All are welcome and donations for the bottle stall would be greatly appreciated
Sunday 23rd November
Three lifeguards from Peterhead Swimming Pool are taking part in a fundraising swim in aid of Aspire – a charity which works with people with spinal cord injuries. The trio will aim to swim a combined distance of 22 miles in a relay style, lasting around 12 hours. They’re looking to raise as much money as possible, and have a JustGiving web page which they are all linked to. They also have a text line for donations where people can text “PLOP49 £5” in order to donate £5 to their page.
Tuesday 25th November
The Pitsligo Arms Ladies night - their annual charity fundraising evening in aid of Roxburgh House Cancer respite takes place from 6.00pm onwards in the New Pitsligo Village Hall with complimentary Wine and nibbles on arrival provided by the boys at 'The Pitsligo Arms'. There’s various stalls including Rhiannon Jewellery plus lots more for you to browse and buy... A perfect winter Tuesday evening out with the girls - plus get some Christmas shopping at the same time.. Raffle prizes welcome. Further details 01771 653208.

The Ugie Angling Association are holding their AGM in the Palace Hotel, Peterhead from 7.30pm. Important business will be discussed including the new fish counter project.
Friday 28th November
Fraserburgh Golf Club AGM at 7.00pm and a full attendance would be appreciated.
The McRobbies at Christmas will be switching on their display of Christmas Lights at 6.30pm at 8 Reidfield Place, St Combs. The children can post their letter to Santa and see some special guests!! Tea and mincemeat pies will be served after the switch on. All proceeds to charity – and all welcome.
Saturday 29th November
The Sandhaven and Pitullie Public Hall Association are holding a Christmas Fayre in the public hall from 1pm to 3pm. Admission £2 for adults and £1 for children which includes refreshments.
Abbey Court Very Sheltered Housing, Sutherland Drive, Mintlaw host a Christmas Fair from 10.00am - 12 noon with various stalls, teas and raffles. Entry is £1.50 for adults and £1.00 for children.
The Peterhead Sea Cadets are holding a ‘soup & sweet’ in the Seagate Unit from 11.30am till 2.00pm. Adults £4 and children £2.50.
Buchanhaven Heritage Society will hold their annual Christmas Fair from 10am – 4pm at the Buchanhaven Heritage Centre. To get you feeling festive, music will be provided in the morning by the Clerkhill School Choir; in the afternoon by Bright Beginnings Nursery and throughout the day Kerry Short will be performing Christmas classics. There will be various stalls and raffles will be on sale to support the Centre’s refurbishment programme.

Buchanhaven Heritage Centre in Peterhead is hosting a Christmas Cake competition from 1 – 4pm. There is no entry fee and there will be a prize for the winner. The Maud conversation café are holding a Christmas Craft Fayre from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Come along for a fly cup and homebakes and a good yap. All monies raised will fund the conversation café.
Saturday 6th December
The Strichen Toddlers Group are holding a Christmas Fayre in the Ritchie Hall, Strichen from 10am to 2pm. Santa will be there for the kids, along with numerous trade stalls. Refreshments available.
The Peterhead Sea Cadets are once again delivering Christmas Cards in Peterhead. Collection times at the Unit in Seagate are Saturday the 29th of November from 11.30am to 2pm, Monday the 1st to Friday the 5th of December from 7 to 9pm, Saturday the 6th from 9am to 1pm, Wednesday the 10th from 1pm to 3pm and Monday the 8th to Thursday the 11th from 7 to 9pm. Delivery 25 pence – any size of card.
The Saltoun Surgery in Fraserburgh advise all over 65’s to make an appointment to have a flu jab. Those under 65, with chronic respiratory, heart, kidney, diabetic problems should also make an appointment for their free flu vaccination.
The Crichie Hogmany Fundraising Party will be held at the Village Hall on Wednesday the 31st of December from 7.30 till late with family games and music and don’t forget to bring you own tipple and nibbles. Tickets on sale from Saturday 1st November at the Village Hall from 11am to 1pm. Funds raised go to local charities.
A Children’s Bible Club will be held at the York St Hall Monday to Friday from 10am – 12 noon for Primary School age children. The theme this year is based on a “sweet shop”. Children can make crafts, hear bible stories, sing choruses and win prizes. There will be a free bus pick-up and drop-off in Boddam and Peterhead. Teardrops is a voluntary group for those who find if difficult to cope after a loved one or best friend has died in tragic circumstances. They meet every Thursday in the Peterhead Community Centre from 7.00pm-9.00pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and have a cuppa and a chat. Lonmay Indoor Bowling Club is inviting bowlers, including beginners, to come along to the village hall every Tuesday at 7pm. The cost is £2 per session and bowls will be available for use.
Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland are launching a new Outreach Communication Support Service in the North East to support people who have had a stroke, giving them company and confidence. The services will be available in Deeside, Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Turriff, Inverurie, Stonehaven, Banff, Huntly and Aberdeen City. CLAN - Cancer Link Aberdeen North - offers support through its outreach facilties in Peterhead and Fraserburgh. They are in Fraserburgh at the HUB on a Monday from 10-4pm. Then in Peterhead on a Wedenesday and a Friday at the Hotspot on Kirk Street, Peterhead again from 10-4pm. This is a free service to everyone affected by cancer and provides emotional support, complementary therapies, children and family services and cancer information. The Breastfeeding support group takes place at Peterhead Maternity Unit every Thursday from 1.30pm-3.00pm. This is an informal group/drop in where advice and support are given with many lifelong friendships made. Come along and enjoy the social aspects of the group. The midwives and breastfeeding volunteers extend a warm welcome.
There will be a weekly nightcap at the Fisherman's Mission on Union Street, Peterhead on Sunday at 8pm, as well as a weekly Ladies Guild every Tuesday from 7.15pm.
Choices Fraserburgh is a crisis pregnancy centre where women and their families can go to obtain free, impartial advice following an unplanned pregnancy. Advice and support is also offered following the loss of a baby.
