19th May
Glenn Moir reports from Balmoor Stadium during the secong leg of the Division 2 play off between Peterhead and East Fife. The final score Peterhead nil East Fife one.
18th May
Its 50 years in operation for Peterheads Anna Ritchie School and Kenny King is invited down to a coffee morning part of the celebrations. He interviewed staff and pupils during his visit.
16th May
Gavin Sutherland of the Sutherland Brothers joins Kenny King for a chat on the Brekky Thing.
12th May
It's the 3rd annual Wavettes and Bloo Toon Buddies Charity Golf Day and Kenny King is at the event interviewing organisers, participants and members of the public during the 60's On A Sunday with Craig Scott in the studio.
22nd March
Kenny King has a visit from a former Waves presenter. Adrian Field after many years pays a visit to the station before heading off to Australia to live. Adrian famous on Waves for the Clean Sweep quiz on a Friday evening when listeners had to guess which song was being played over the noise of a hoover.
21st January
James G from Fraserburgh starts a 3 month trial period with the station taking over the Afternoon Hit Mix.
18th January
Christina Tatlow moves on after a three month trial period.

Alex Cameron was our first foot at 8am and at midday a New Year Special was aired the "All Time Platinum Artists" introduced by Claire Sturgess.

Suzie D presented a mix of Scottish music from 7 to 10pm and then Kenny King took in the New Year till 1am.
Christmas Day
The days programming becan with Alex Cameron at 6am then Kenny King linking up with ex pats around the world on his Kracker. Brian Daniel followed and a Special Santa Show and Totally 80's completed the line up.
Friday 30th November
Kenny King along with Brian Daniel are on the streets of Fraserburgh during the towns late shopping and family fun event which saw the streets of the Broch buzzng with various attractions including Santa and a fireworks display.
Friday 26th October
Tom Macleod presents his final show on the station and heads back to London we at Waves Radio wish him all the best for the future.
Monday 15th October
Christina Tatlow joins the station covering for Brian Daniel for a two week period on AM2PM.
Sunday 16th September
The 2nd Peterhead Running Festival & Family Fun Day took place at the Catto Park in Peterhead and Kenny King was there with the roving microphone chatting to organisers sponsors and participants of this excellent day for all the family.
Saturday 11th August
The Bloo Toon was buzzing with the first game of the season when Peterhead played host to The Rangers for their first game in Division 3. The big game did not effect the annual Peterhead Harbour Open Day in aid of the local Royal National Mission For Deep Sea Fishermen. Kenny King interviewed participants and organisers at the event and said a fond farewell to George Power Superintendent who is retiring and his deputy Paul Govier who is also leaving the area. A great day was had by all and loads of money was raised.
Saturday 28th July
Kenny King interviews Mke Ling who is Red 10 the coordinator of the world famous Red Arrows. He came into the studio prior to their display as part of Peterhead Scottish Week. Following the interview Kenny presented a one hour Red Arrows Special and linked up with Red 10 broadcasting his commentary as the team flew over Peterhead. The atmosphere from the Lido was completed with various interviews from Graham Baron ex Scottish Week Chairman and former presenter on the station.
Monday 23rd July
Kenny King and Brian Daniel went Live @The Lido in Peterhead for the 6th Marinathon. As part to Peterhead Scottish Week interviews with Sponsors , competitors and organisers went out live on air from 6 to 8pm. A very well attended night.
Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th July
The station once again this year went through the night broadcasting from 0600 on Saturday to 2100 Sunday with sponsored live shows with all the cash donated to the Peterhead Relay For Life event via our charity team The Wavettes. The team this year have raised £17,000 to help in the fight against cancer. The Radio Relay compliments the main event in the Catto Park.
Saturday 9th June
Emmerdale Grampian Country Fair @ Fyvie Castle attended and enjoyed by thousands. During the event Kenny King and Brian Daniel interviewed the cast of the ITV soap plus exhibitors and members of the public. Truly a memorable day for our competition winner Wendy Del Testa and her mum who won a competition on the station to meet with our friends from Emmerdale
Sunday 3rd June
During the 60's On A Sunday Kenny King & Brian Daniel are interviewing participants and members of the public at the annual Fraserburgh Vintage Car Rally.A superb day with thousands turning up to the event.
Sunday 20th May
Kenny King joins the Wavettes & Bloo Toon Buddie at the Peterhead Golf Club for their 2nd Golf & Family Fun Day. Interviewing various people including entrants to the Golf competition. A rotal of £8309.27 was rasied by the event and going to Cancer Research Relay For Life.

Waves Radio opens a facebook page promoting the station and linking with listeners and advertisers.
Thursday 1st March
Pollard in Peterhead. Yes the likable rogue of Emmerdale Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) pays another visit to Waves Radio. This time to promote the forthcoming Gampian Country Fair on Saturday 9th June at Fyvie Castle. He joined Kenny King on the Brekky Thing and chatted about his career and the forthcoming event. George Walker joined in to give further info on the event.
Wednesday 25th January
As Scots everywhere celebrated the birthday of Robbie Burns, Glenn Moir paid a visit to Peterhead Central School to hear the thoughts of the kids as they have haggis for lunch. Linking with Brian Daniel on AM2PM pupils had the opportunity to recite a few poems live on air.

Sunday 11th September
Kenny King was finding out about keeping fit by interviewing competitors and exhibitors at the first Peterhead Running Festival at the Catto Park with all profit going to the Spina Bifida Association. Kids and adults took part in various sporting activities.
Saturday 13th August
Waves attended and reported from the annual Peterhead Harbours Open Day with sponsored links courtesy of Bill Mackie Engineering. Brian Daniel interviewed organisers and participants in this very successful event raising funds for the Royal National Mission For Deep Sea Fishermen.
Sunday 17th July
Kenny King finally successfully fulfills a dream by starting a week long broadcast from the North Sea aboard the MV Scotia 2 celebrating 21 years since the radio station began as an RSL Waves AM from the Little Blue Shack at the Lido in Peterhead. All programming came from the ship and included an exclusive link with the world famouse Red Arrows Air Display Team the main attraction during Peterhead's 50th Scottish Week.
Celebrating 21 years and saluting the pioneers of commercial radio the offshore stations of the past.
Kenny's only disappointment was due to bad sea conditions not being able to sail up the coast to Fraserburgh to thank the Brochers for their support over the years .
Saturday 9th July
To complement the annual Cancer Research Relay For Life in Peterhead over the weekend Waves Radio presented another successful Radio Relay with live programming from Friday 6am to Sunday 9pm raising over £2000. The money was passed to the official fundraising team The Wavettes bringing this years total to over £22,000. Thanks to all advertisers and well done to the Wavettes. Kenny King and the team reported regularly live on air during the relay itself from the Lord Catto Park.

On Saturday 12th June the cast of ITV's Emmerdale returned to the North East raising cash for the Anthony Nolan Trust The Grampian Country Fair took place at B & A Country Store, Lyne of Skene.
Waves Radio as the official radio station for the event was there bringing you the atmosphere of the extravaganza with reports and interviews from Kenny King, Brian Daniel and Craig Scott with cast members and exhibitors.

Sunday 6th June and Kenny King and George Walker linked up live from the Fraserburgh Vintage Car Rally at the Leisure Centre. Chatting to the organisers and exhibitors with Alex Cameron playing the hits on the"Sixties On A Sunday". With fun for all the family this yearly event is in it's 19th year and we look forward to next years 20th anniversary event.

On Saturday 3rd April Brian Daniel and Glenn Moir were joined on the air by snooker legend Steve Davis when he played members of the public at a charity event at Thistle Windows Bridge of Don Aberdeen. All money raised at the event went to the Anchor Unit at ARI.
